Title: Power of Collaboration in Information Literacy Skills Training

Abstract: Integrating information literacy skills is fundamental to learning in all contexts. One of the collaborative efforts between the Renison Library staff and Social Work / Social Development Studies faculty highlights the development and implementation of the mobile information literacy innovation of mobile lessons and its applications, and preliminary findings of the pilot project. Testing of the tool is underway with students majoring in psychology, social work, education or social development studies to determine the effectiveness of using mobile technology to enhance students’ information literacy skills. Successes, challenges and the lessons learned by the researchers in the collaborative research project to support anytime, anywhere student mobile information literacy training will be highlighted.
